What's in the Heat Seeker Box?

What fun would it be if you already knew what you were getting? That’s the allure of having a subscription box. What we can tell you is that every season will bring a new adventure in flavor! Each box will, of course, include amazing small batch hot sauces. But we’re stepping it up to include a wide selection of spicy delights, like seasonings, salsas, candies, jellys, jerky, pickles–any way we can think of to experience spicy food. Our goal is to deliver amazing flavor in combination with addicting heat.
We’ll also find some good stuff that will show you’re a fan in the kitchen, home, or garden. We’re always looking for ways to keep our relationship with you spicy!


How spicy will the items in this box be?

Our first focus is on great flavors that pack some punch. This is NOT a novelty box just out to deliver insanely spicy foods. In other words, you won’t be receiving gimmicky items just meant to make you cry. We taste test every item in search of the best -- and we don’t include foods that are simply too hot to enjoy. With that being said, this is the Heat Seeker Box. It will always deliver the heat.


How is the box cost determined?

We work hard to keep each quarterly box shipment at around $45.00. Our goal is to bring you the highest quality, small-batch products. Several of the products in our boxes range from $6 – $12 each retail (and that’s before additional shipping for each item). The products we choose to feature are typically larger portions. Our box offers you the opportunity to try these hand selected, taste tested, small batch items at a lower cost to you. Our box price will always be lower than purchasing each product individually online.

PLUS shipping costs are FREE to US addresses. 


When are boxes shipped?

As a seasonal subscription service, your order will ship approximately every 90 days, as close as possible to the beginning of each season. Our first Autumn box will ship the last week of September 2016. The first Winter Box is will be start shipping December 1st. We do everything we can to ship in a timely manner. Orders are shipped in a first-come, first-served basis. Each seasonal box has a limited number available, and we split it into three monthly batches. Shipping is typically via USPS, and we ship from California. So, a few days after it ships, you’ll receive it; with a few more days needed to reach the Midwest, East coast, Hawaii and Alaska. and we are constantly working better deals for our delivery speed.


Can I give the Heat Seeker Box as a gift?

Absolutely! The Heat Seeker Box is a great gift idea. I know I’d love to receive a gift that I keep getting every three months! Gift options will be coming soon to the checkout process. If you'd love to give as a gift now, simply enter the shipping address of the gift recipient during check out. You can create an account and attach additional addresses to each purchased subscription.


How does the ordering work?

Orders will be open until quantities are sold out. Due to the artisan nature of some of these products, there will be limited quantity of each season’s box available. Once we can procure more inventory, we will open additional ordering opportunities.

We fulfill orders in a first-come, first-serve basis.


How long is the subscription I am signing up for?

Your subscription will auto-renew until you cancel, and is billed once every 3 months or once yearly, depending on which subscription your originally purchased. Cancel anytime. However, we hope you love your subscription box so much, that you continue to receive it for many, many years!

How do I change my payment method?

Make sure you create an account when checking out to manage your subscription details.  

Login to your account at heatseekerbox.com. Click ‘My Account‘  in the top menu.

Type the email address you used to sign up with and your password. If you have forgotten your password, simply click “Forgot Password?’ and an email will be sent for you to reset it.

Once you have logged in you will see you account information. Click the link that says ‘Manage Subscriptions‘. Here you will see your subscription orders. Click "Billing Information" in the menu to the left. Update your credit card info and billing address in this area.


How do I change my subscription delivery address?

You can create an account when checking out or respond to the email invitation to manage your subscription details.  

Login to your account at heatseekerbox.com. Click ‘My Account‘  in the top menu.

Type the email address you used to sign up with and your password. If you have forgotten your password, simply click “Forgot Password?’ and an email will be sent for you to reset it.

Once you have logged in, you will see you account information. Click the link that says ‘Manage Subscriptions‘. Here you will see your subscription orders. There is an "Edit" button next to the 'Ship to" address. Click that button and update your shipping address here. Click "Save".


Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time . We only ship to the 50 U.S. states and U.S. military addresses.


Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, because we purchase our products based on paid subscriptions, we cannot give refunds after the billing cycle has been completed. You can, of course cancel whenever you like. If you cancel after the billing period then you will receive one more Heat Seeker Box. 

If any item is received in damaged or unusable condition, we will make a best-effort to replace it. As inventories are often limited, this cannot be guaranteed. We will work with you to find a different item, or a partial refund, or credit toward a future purchase.

In any event, the limit of our damages will not exceed purchase price of the items bought. Use caution and common sense with these spicy products! Although we test every item, we cannot predict or advise on how an individual will react to contact (including allergies) or eating the products we sell.

Any legal actions will be acted upon the jurisdiction of the State of California.


How do I cancel my subscription?

Once you have logged in, you will see you account information. Click the link that says ‘Manage Subscriptions‘. Here you will see your subscription orders. To the right of your subscription info you will see the words Cancel. Click that. You can Re-activate your subscription at any time by following the same step listed above.
